Five New Hampshire businesses filed for bankruptcy in Feb.

After three months of no business filings

So far, slightly more New Hampshire residents have filed for bankruptcy in 2017 than in 2016, another indication that bankruptcies have ended their long decline since their in peak in 2010.

There were 137 filings recorded in February, 10 more than February 2016 and 11 more than January 2017.

Included in the filings are seven business-related bankruptcies. Two individuals filed due to business-related debt, but five business filed themselves — the first bankruptcy filings by a New Hampshire business in three months. In January, there were two individual filings due to business-related debt, but no direct business filing.

Businesses that filed for bankruptcy in February were:

 • New England Mechanical Coordination & Consulting, Sunapee, filed Feb. 3, Chapter 11. Assets: $571,152. Liabilities: $2,416,513.

 • Carrington Farms Condominium Owners' Association, Manchester, filed Feb. 3, Chapter 11, Assets: $215,577. Liabilities: $718,043.

 • BDW Financial Services LLC., fdba Whitten Family Associates, 3 Guys Auto, Darlings Tire & Auto, Manchester, filed Feb. 6. Chapter 7, Assets: $0. Liabilities: $359,576.

 • Aftokinito Rally Inc., Nashua, filed Feb. 16, Chapter 11. Assets: $1,873,83. Liabilities: $924,935.

 • MW Keller Plumbing & Heating LLC, Pelham, filed Feb. 25, Chapter 7. Assets: $106,997. Liabilities: $10 to $50 million.
