Drill planned at Air Force Station

NEW BOSTON – The town Fire Department and a variety of other emergency response teams will conduct a drill at the New Boston Air Force Station on Saturday.

The drill, which will be carried out in cooperation with the 23rd Space Operations Squadron, is intended to simulate an attack on the station.

The daylong drill is scheduled to begin around 8:30 a.m. and will involve emergency vehicles, including a helicopter.

People near the station may hear explosions and see smoke of various colors.
