Concord: Kelly Ayotte confirmed as New Hampshire’s first female attorney general

Concord: Kelly Ayotte has been confirmed by the Executive Council as New Hampshire’s first female attorney general, replacing Peter Heed, who resigned in June amid allegations that he inappropriately touched a woman on a dance floor at a state-sponsored conference. Heed has since been cleared in an investigation by Sullivan County Attorney Marc Hathaway.
