NASHUA – State Attorney General Peter Heed will address the local chapter of the Catholic lay group Voice of the Faithful Thursday night.
Heed will outline the state’s agreement with the Diocese of Manchester, and will participate in a question-and-answer session.
The diocese avoided possible criminal prosecution in 2002 by admitting that it had endangered children by keeping sexually abusive priests in ministry. The deal requires the diocese to follow strict guidelines, under the eyes of the attorney general and the court, for protecting children.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Millette Manor. For more information, contact Ed Kirby, 883-6477 or Sister Joan Manion, 880-0916.
