Albany International announces new CEO

Olivier Jarrault to succeed Joe Morone

Olivier Jarrault, a 14-year veteran of Alcoa Corp., has been chosen to succeed Joseph Morone as president and CEO of Rochester-based Albany International Corp.

He will take over the job on March 2, the company announced Tuesday.

Jarrault, 56, most recently was executive vice president and group president of Alcoa Engineered Products and Solutions, whose aerospace customers include Safran, GE, United Technologies, Boeing and Airbus. He has a total of 26 years of aerospace and industrial experience, the company said.

Erkie Kailbourne, chair of Albany’s board of directors, said Jarrault’s experience makes him “the ideal person to build upon what Joe Morone has already accomplished, and lead AEC through its next stages of growth and maturity.”

Last summer, Morone – who initiated and led the company’s move from New York state to New Hampshire – announced plans to retire in 2018, when he turns 65.
