Trader Joe’s to open third New Hampshire store in Bedford

Food retailer’s new location set for Market and Main development

The national food store chain Trader Joe's has announce plans to open its third New Hampshire location, this one in the mixed-use development currently being built at the former site of Macy’s in Bedford.

The company has signed a lease for the location of a 13,000-square-foot store that’s scheduled to open in the second half of 2018. The 359,000-square-foot Market and Main development where the new Trader Joe’s will be located is currently under construction. The two other Trader Joe’s stores in New Hampshire are in Nashua and Portsmouth.

Encore Commercial LLC, a subsidiary of Dallas-based Encore Enterprises Inc., purchased the 16-acre site of the former Macy’s department store in 2015.
