1. The 28th annual Eversource Walk and 5K Run on June 4 in Manchester raised more than $168,000 for Easterseals NH. More than 1,000 runners, walkers and supporters attended this official kickoff to Easterseals NH’s 90th birthday celebration. Programs at Easterseals NH serve children, adults, seniors and veterans. The race began and ended in front of Veteran’s Memorial Park on Elm Street.

2. Eastern Bank announced its support for Granite United Way’s Granite Youth Alliance Film Festival. 3. The nonprofit NH LAKES has named Rep. John MacDonald recipient of the 2026 Reverend Sidney Lovett Memorial Award for Exemplary Lake Advocacy. The award was presented June 5 in Concord during NH LAKES’ annual Lakes Congress Conference. MacDonald was joined by Sidney Lovett’s children, Peter Lovett and Lisa Lovett; NH LAKES President Andrea LaMoreaux; 2024 award recipient Rep. Rosemarie Rung; and Wolfeboro lake advocate Tonya Albee. NH LAKES is dedicated to preserving the state’s lakes through education, action and advocacy.

4. Eastern Bank Foundation and Cambridge Trust Wealth Management announced its support of the Granite VNA’s annual Passion for Caring event which supports home, health and hospice care services for people in 82 communities in New Hampshire. 5. Franklin Savings Bank announced its grant of $5,000 to Lakes Region Community Developers (LRCD) Good Neighbor Program, an initiative to strengthen families and build community connections. The Good Neighbor Program gives residents of LRCD access to resources like financial education, health and wellness support, community engagement opportunities and crisis-prevention assistance. The $5,000 grant was awarded through Franklin Savings Bank’s Fund for Community Advancement, which supports nonprofit organizations working to improve the lives of people the bank serves.

6. The in-home care services company Guardian Angel Senior Services recently celebrated its new Hampton Falls location, which will expand services on the Seacoast. The event was hosted in partnership with the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce. Guardian Angel Senior Services attendees included Regional Manager JoAnn Thibault; Chief Operating Officer Anne Marie Brightman; Home Care Manager Monique Gomez; Scheduling Coordinator Giselle Guyotte; and hiring coordinator Linda Towsend. Chamber attendees included President John Nyhan, Assistant to the President Gianna Anzalone and Director of Membership Sarah Brais.
