Business and event happenings around the state of NH
1. The Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the grand opening of Eagle Estates in Salem, 55+ luxury living condos with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty. Amenities at Eagle Estates, at 380 Main St., Salem, include a workout room, picnic areas, outdoor patios, a double pickleball court, a dog park and a theater room.
2. Realty ONE Group Next Level (ROG) celebrated the opening of its new headquarters in Bedford. Local and state officials, business leaders, real estate professionals and others attended the ribbon-cutting. The celebration was filled with remarks, office tours and refreshments. ROG is a real estate franchise that’s headquartered at 40 Harvey Road, Bedford, with offices in Concord, Manchester, Nashua and Portsmouth.
3. In December, the Granite YMCA held its 171st awards ceremony to recognize volunteers, community supporters, donors and employees over the past year. 4. On Dec. 5, Operation Delta Dog held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Rich and Linda Lovering Training & Enrichment Center at 19D Clinton Drive in Hollis. The 2,000-square-foot facility, which can also accommodate larger class sizes, prepares rescue dogs to become specialized service companions for veterans with PTSD, TBI and MST.
5. Meredith Village Savings Bank supports the Sherburne School Workforce Housing Project, which will create 90 permanently affordable housing units. MVSB purchased $10,000 in tax credits to support the development. Portsmouth Housing Authority, which develops and manages affordable housing and provides rental assistance, is using awarded tax credits from the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA).
6. Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative launched its new season Feb. 13, delivering performances around the Lakes Region. From Feb. 13-15, Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will open the season at The Colonial Theatre in Laconia. Visit powerhousenh.org for show dates, tickets and lineup. 7. On Wednesday, Feb. 4, local McDonald’s owner/operators presented the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police with a $50,000 check at the McDonald’s restaurant at 117 Loudon Road, Concord. The presentation marks the fifth annual statewide McDonald’s fundraiser, which supports police training and community safety programs. To date, the initiative has raised more than $200,000 for the association.
