The New Hampshire Department of Labor today is warning businesses about a scam involving the sale of labor law posters.
According to the agency, people posing as Labor Department representatives are soliciting businesses indicating the need to purchase up-to-date labor law posters at the risk of being fined for noncompliance. Labor Department officials said representatives of the agency always present identification upon entering a business.
The state does mandate certain postings, but the postings are available free of charge.
