The Stratham-based Timberland Company has entered into a licensing agreement with workwear manufacturer Block Corporation to produce a new line of apparel, which will be introduced this fall.
The new clothing will be part of the Timberland Pro line and will include long-sleeved woven and knit shirts, performance outerwear and pants.
According to Timberland PRO’s general manager and vice president, Stewart Whitney, the decision to partner with Block Corporation was made based on Block’s industry expertise and practices that include the use of organic materials.
Distribution will be targeted to regional and independent accounts and catalog and online businesses.
“Timberland and Block share a strong commitment to providing working professionals with high-quality, functional products,” Whitney said. “This is a great opportunity to build the PRO line in a way that will better serve the work consumer.”
The new line will be introduced next week at the Magic Show in Las Vegas, Nev. – TRACIE STONE
