Social responsibility group chief to head Dover chamber
Molly Hodgson Smith, executive director of New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility for the last six years, announced Tuesday her decision to leave the post to take the helm of the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce.Hodgson Smith, who has over 15 years of nonprofit leadership experience, will remain at the top job at NHBSR through the end of April, when she will take over a executive director of the Dover chamber.She said her decision “will present NHBSR with the opportunity to write the next chapter in its evolution.”According to Bonnie Kurylo, co-chair of NHBSR, Hodgson Smith “joined the organization in 2005 at a crucial time in our history. The board had decided to elevate the level of programs and services we offered to our members. Molly set us on a journey to help this diverse and well respected membership come together to learn, mentor, network and promote their corporate social responsibilities practices.”Under Hodgson Smith, NHBSR membership grew, along with its programming offerings and grant procurement.Officials said the search for a new executive director will begin in June. — JEFF FEINGOLD/NEW HAMPSHIRE BUSINESS REVIEW
