Employee education: The missing piece in retirement plans
A 2024 Human Interest study found 91% of employees with access to financial wellness education enrolled in their workplace retirement plan, compared to just 76% enrollment without it.
Members of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of New Hampshire met Sept. 13 in Nashua with U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen to discuss issues relating to homebuilding, remodeling and real estate development.
The discussions took place during a visit by the senator to Rosewood at Gagnon Farms, which is being developed by Ashwood Development.
In her opening remarks, Shaheen reviewed the Energy Savings and Industrial Competitiveness Act, which she introduced to the full Senate earlier this month and discussed its impact on the home building industry.
Attendees then discussed issues that the industry is facing as it slowly gets back on its feet after many years of struggling during the recession. Those issues include ongoing challenges with appraisals, environmental regulations, and financing for both consumers and businesses.
“Senator Shaheen has always taken the time to meet with members of our association so that she is informed on critical homebuilding issues,” said Kendall Buck, executive vice president of the association.
