A fully wired NH expected by 2026
Despite a shift in policy, New Hampshire officials expect 100% of the households and businesses in the state will have access to broadband internet by 2026.
The link between housing and economic development will be the focus of a June 20 breakfast forum in Rochester.
“Housing, Jobs, and the Community of the Future: Economic Development and the Need for Housing in Our Community,” is a presentation of the Workforce Housing Coalition of the Greater Seacoast, in partnership with the city of Rochester and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.
Speakers are expected to provide overviews of how current zoning and land use ordinances impact housing development and how housing needs affect economic development in the community.
Scheduled speakers include Rochester Mayor Caroline McCarley, Executive Councilor Andru Volinsky, Rochester Economic Development Director Karen Pollard, Rochester Director of Planning, James Campbell, Michael Provost, director of Rochester Main Street, and George Reagan, director of housing awareness programs for the NH Housing Finance Authority.
The forum will run from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at The Governor’s Inn in Rochester. To register, visit rochesternh.org.
