Verani moves Bedford office, Red Oak holds Milford ribbon-cutting … and more

Palmer and Sicard of Exeter recently celebrated its 15th year as an employee-owned company. The company transitioned to an employee stock ownership program, or ESOP, in 2002 and is 100 percent employee-owned.
Matthew Penner has joined the Bretton Woods office of Peabody & Smith as a sales associate. Penner has been a New Hampshire-licensed real estate sales associate for the past six years and was recently inducted into the Lakes Region Board of Realtors. Penner also has worked for Peabody & Smith Realty previously as an Executive Assistant.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty’s Bedford office has moved its Bedford office on South River Road to One Club Acre Lane, across from the Manchester Country Club. Cammie Ferreras, manager of Verani’s Bedford office, said the new location will offer better visibility and make the office easier to find for customers.
Ribbon-cutting ceremonies were held Aug. 30 for the first phase at the Ridge at Eastern Trails in Milford. The project includes 124 apartment homes in three apartment buildings and townhouse-style dwellings.
Owned by Red Oak Properties, Phase I includes two buildings with 72 apartments.
The project, which is being managed by Eckman Construction, will include 128,000 square feet of total construction. It will include 108 apartment units and 16 two- and three-bedroom townhouses. Project architect is Dennis Mires The Architects of Manchester, and the civil engineer is Keach-Nordstrom Associates of Bedford.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has awarded New Hampshire organizations over $160,000 in federal funds to invest in rural development programs in Belknap, Grafton, Merrimack and Coos Counties. The award was announced by New Hampshire U.S. Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan.
The funds will be used for small business development projects, farming programs, technology investments and technical assistance education.
Associated Builders and Contractors NH/VT will be hosting a workshop on “Strategies & Best Practices to Grow Your Business,” from 8:30 to 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, at the ABC NH/VT Education Center at 58 Chenell Drive, Concord.
