PC Connection income gains
PC Connection posted net income of $9.4 million, or 35 cents a share, in its third quarter ending Sept. 30, up slightly from the $8.6 million posted during the same quarter last year. That brings profits at the Merrimack-based firm to $21.4 million, or 80 cents a share, so far this year.Sales increased 8 percent, to $575.6 million, powered mainly by a 29 percent increase in the Large Account segment. While some of the increase in that segment can be attributed to the acquisition of ValCom Technology, even without it sales would have risen 24 percent.Sales gains were more modest among the Small and Medium Business segment (a 1.7 percent increase) and they went down slightly in the Public Sector segment due to budget cuts.Year to date, the company’s sales are $1.55 billion, a 9.3 percent increase. Total assets are $470.5 million, including $40 million in cash and stockholder equity of $276 million. — BOB SANDERS/NEW HAMPSHIRE BUSINESS REVIEW
