New N.H. SBA director named

Greta Johansson has been named the new director of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s New Hampshire district office.Johansson, who currently serves as deputy district director of SBA’s Connecticut office in Hartford, Conn., has worked for the SBA for 29 years, starting as a loan specialist. J She has been district director in Connecticut since 1996.She succeeds Wit Jones, who retired from his job as district director at the end of 2010.Jeanne A. Hulit, administrator of the SBA’s New England region, said Johannson “has the proven leadership, management and communication skills that are essential to the agency as we assist small businesses during these changing times.” Hulit added that Johannson was “the right fit for the office, our SBA partners and for the community the office serves.”Johannson said that she was “deeply honored” to be selected for the job and that she looks forward to working with the Concord office’s “tremendous staff” and to working “with our partners at the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center, SCORE, the recently announced SNHU Women’s Business Center and the lending and economic development communities.” — JEFF FEINGOLD/NEW HAMPSHIRE BUSINESS REVIEW
