Newmarket, NH-based Chinburg Properties, which has rehabbed dozens of properties for residential and commercial use on the New Hampshire Seacoast, southern Maine and the North Shore of Massachusetts, has added to its portfolio with the purchase of an historic former mill in Westbrook, Maine.
The company acquired the 130-year-old Dana Warp Mill for $5.1 million from Westbrook investor Aleksandar “Sasa” Cook. The price is about double the $2.5 million that Cook paid for the mill seven years ago, according to the Portland Press Herald.
The 250,000-square-foot mill houses some 70 businesses, although the company is expecting to add residential units to the building.
