N.H. Nov. bankruptcies: 427
Some 427 New Hampshire individuals and businesses filed for bankruptcy protection in November, slightly fewer than in October, but a full 11.5 percent higher than the number that was filed in November 2009. With a month to go, there have been 5,136 bankruptcy filings in New Hampshire in 2010, already more than in all of 2009. It would be the most filings on record for any year save 2005, when there was a massive rush to file before bankruptcy laws tightened. November filings included the following nine businesses — two more than the seven filed in October: • First Choice Training Inc., Salem, filed Nov. 1, Chapter 7. Assets and liabilities: $100,000 to $500,000. • Air Service of New Hampshire Inc., Pittsfield, filed Nov. 2, Chapter 7. Assets: $101,335.16. Liabilities: $283,329.62 • RWJ Construction Inc. Hampton Falls, filed Nov. 4, Chapter 7. Assets and liabilities: $100,000 to $500,000. • Birch Hollow Remodelers LLC, dba Case Handyman Services, Hillsboro, filed Nov. 11, Chapter 7. Assets: $700. Liabilities: $ 149,883.22 • Victor Virgin Construction Corp., Franklin, filed Nov. 17, Chapter 11. Assets: $130,000. Liabilities: $1,095,119.75. • Orange Street LLC, Nashua, filed Nov. 18 by Vatche Manoukian, landlord and developer, Chapter 11. Assets: $400,000. Liabilities: $402,100. • Subbuilders Inc., Pelham, filed Nov. 19, Chapter 7. Assets: $15,415 Liabilities: $58,302.32 • Cooperage Forest LLC (originated development in Fremont), Manchester, filed Nov. 24, Chapter 11, Assets and liabilities: $1 million to $10 million. • #1W/#2 LLC (sewer and drain cleaning business), Sanbornton, filed Nov. 25, Chapter 7.
