N.H. median income tops nation

New Hampshire has the highest median income in the nation, according to statistics released by the U.S. Census Bureau. According to the bureau, the median household income – calculated by averaging median incomes from 2008 and 2009 – was $65,028 in New Hampshire, the highest of any state in the country.The Granite State’s first-place ranking is followed closely by New Jersey, with a median income of $64,918, and Connecticut in third at $64,644.
