N.H. bankruptcies fall again in Jan.

When it comes to bankruptcy filings, New Hampshire started 2011 off better than the record-breaking 2010.Some 350 filers – unofficially – filed for bankruptcy in January 2011 — 14 fewer than in December 2010 and 31 fewer than January 2010.Indeed, after going up and down for the past half year, bankruptcy filings have actually declined two months in a row. But even with the decline, January 2011 still had the second largest number of bankruptcies in any January in recent history.Four New Hampshire businesses filed for bankruptcy in January, the same as December 2010, and five fewer than November. They were: • The Arches Alzheimer’s Care Facility LLC and Salchli Holdings II, Northfield, filed Jan. 11, Chapter 11. Assets: $1.3 million. Liabilities: $2.8 million. • C E Davis Group LTD, dba Nashua Car Wash, Nashua, filed Jan 18, Chapter 11. Assets: $29,825. Liabilities: $1,622,371. • Patriot Door Corp. LLC, Auburn, filed Jan. 18, Chapter 7. Assets: $5,000. Liabilities: $203,772. • Wallworks LLC (construction company), Nashua, filed Jan. 31, Chapter 7. Assets: $517,250.
