Manchester-Nashua home prices rise in August

Including distressed sales, prices are up 3.4% from a year ago

Home prices in the Manchester-Nashua area rose by 3.4 percent in August from a year earlier and 0.3 percent from July, according to financial data firm CoreLogic.

The price rise includes distressed sales. Excluding distressed sales, year-over-year prices increased by 1.6 percent in August, CoreLogic reported. On a month-over-month basis, excluding distressed sales, home prices increased by 0.5 percent.

Home prices nationwide, including distressed sales, increased 6.4 percent in August 2014 compared to August 2013. On a month-over-month basis, home prices nationwide, including distressed sales, increased 0.3 percent in August.

Excluding distressed sales, home prices nationally increased 5.9 percent in August 2014 compared to August 2013 and 0.3 percent month over month compared to July 2014.
