Dr. Mark Edelstein, president of Lakes Region Community College in Laconia, has announced plans to retire in July from the post he has held since 2006.During his tenure at LRCC, enrollment at the college has grown by 35 percent, and several improvements have been made to its facilities. The college also has continued to expand its nursing and health programs and has added a number of new programs, including the culinary arts and the energy services and technology programs.
