Tough times ahead for many NH families
As 2025 comes to an end, many Granite Staters are feeling the same things. Groceries cost more. Housing costs and property taxes are up. Health care is harder to afford and access.
To the editor:
As a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region and a local business owner for 19 years, I always knew the people of this great area were supportive and generous.
In May of last year, I founded Women Inspiring Women, a group for women who wanted to get together to help one another be the best they could be while having educational and networking opportunities close to home. It became even more apparent to me since that time that those in the Lakes Region were truly unique.
“We believe in you,” “What can I do to help?” “Contact me if you ever need anything” were common statements I heard. Whether attending monthly events, giving referrals, sharing resources, providing corporate funding or brainstorming ideas and solutions, the people of the Lakes Region have been partners in the growth of Women Inspiring Women over this past year. Members of the local media have been enormously supportive as well. While I may be the facilitator of the group, the Lakes Region is the heart and soul, our diehard cheerleaders!
Sincere appreciation is extended to the hundreds of individuals and businesses who are on this journey with Women Inspiring Women. We look forward to your continued support as we grow bigger and stronger to stay true to our motto of “stimulate your mind, nurture your soul.”
