Lisa M. Guertin has been named president and general manager of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in New Hampshire, replacing Doug Wenners, who has taken a new position at the company’s parent, WellPoint Inc. Guertin previously served as New Hampshire’s general manager from 2004 to 2008. For the past three years, Guertin has served as senior vice president of commercial marketing and product for WellPoint. “Although I’ve really enjoyed my corporate role, being general manager of Anthem in New Hampshire is what I love to do,” Guertin told NHBR. “New Hampshire is where my heart is.” While in her corporate marketing role, Guertin has remained based in New Hampshire, and has continued to live with her family in Hollis. “Some people see this as stepping back into an old role, but I don’t see it that way,” said Guertin. “The world has changed so much since 2008. There so many new challenges and opportunities today.” – CINDY KIBBE/NEW HAMPSHIRE BUSINESS REVIEW
