Faro plans new restaurant concept in downtown Portsmouth
Toscana Italian Chophouse & Wine Bar set to open in fall
Tuscan Brands, owner of three Tuscan Kitchen and two Tuscan Market restaurants as well as a newly opened Tuscan Sea Grill & Bar, has announced plans to open another dining concept: Toscana Italian Chophouse & Wine Bar.
The restaurant, which will be located at 3 Pleasant St. in downtown Portsmouth, is set to open this fall, not far from the company’s Tuscan Market location.
Joe Faro, founder of Tuscan Brands, called the planned restaurant “a steakhouse concept that will be built around signature chops, incredible sides and of course many of the Italian favorites that our customers have come to expect from us.”
The team handling the restaurant’s overall design includes Taniya Nayak, who is known for her skills as seen on HGTV and the Food Network, he said.
Tuscan Brands has been continuing its growth over the years, with Tuscan Kitchen locations Salem, NH, and Boston, and Burlington, Mass., Tuscan Markets in Portsmouth and Salem and the Tuscan Sea Grill & Bar in Newburyport, Mass.
Faro and his team are also currently developing Tuscan Village, a 170-acre mixed-use development with retail, entertainment, residential and office space at the site of the former Rockingham Park racetrack in Salem.
