AMHERST-The first public hearing for the proposed Lowe’s shopping center on Route 101A took place Wednesday, giving the developer a chance to outline the project to the public.
The next public hearing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Brick School.
If the Planning Board approves the plan, the development would be built between Winchendon Furniture and Seasonal Specialty Stores.
The developer, W/S Development Associates of Chestnut Hill, has requested a rehearing before the Zoning Board of Adjustment. That board recently denied Lowe’s the right to extend a peaked roof feature above the town’s 35-foot height limit.
