Laconia Village proposal gets final technical review

The journey from concept to completion will be long and complicated for the team envisioning the largest real estate development in recent city history, so the passing of a major milestone on Tuesday morning was a moment to mark. The moment came at a meeting of the city’s Technical Review Committee, a board with representatives from all relevant city departments which reviews development proposals before they go before the planning board. Pillsbury Realty Development LLC appeared before the TRC on Tuesday morning for a third and final review of the master plan for the development they call “Laconia Village,” which seeks to build a community on the site of the former Laconia State School.

As Keene updates master plan, housing is a top priority

As residents look toward Keene’s future, their feedback shows the housing crunch is the number one problem they want fixed, Keene Senior Planner Mari Brunner said. An updated version of the city’s master plan will reflect this, and includes examples of steps to be taken that align with measures experts say are needed to address the housing crisis affecting Keene and beyond.

Windham proposal includes marketplace, apartments

A proposed 31-acre, mixed-use development in Windham located off I-93 would offer a retail marketplace and inclusive residential living options, if the developer can obtain the needed variances. The proposed development, Arena Square, would be located at 102 Indian Rock Road and 82 Range Road, on land owned by Nick Arena, president of Middlesex Glass Company.
