Callahan named Rockingham Park president

Edward Callahan, vice president and general manager of Rockingham Park since 1983, has been named president of the Salem racetrack.

He will continue to serve as general manager.

The move, announced Tuesday by the track, coincides with several other changes in the make-up of the track’s board of officers. Dr. Thomas Carney, who had served as president of the Rock since 2003, has been named treasurer. Karen Keelan succeeds her father, the late Edward Keelan, as vice president, and Kathleen Carney Brothers, formerly secretary of the board, is now vice president and secretary. Attorney Daniel Callaghan joins the board as assistant secretary.
