Business bankruptcies climb in N.H.
While personal bankruptcies in New Hampshire fell in May, the number of business bankruptcies more than doubled to an even dozen.In total, May bankruptcy filings in New Hampshire fell by nearly 10 percent compared to the previous year, the previous month, and even two Mays ago.There were 426 filings in May, compared to 472 the previous May and 475 in April. This marks the sixth annual decline from a year earlier, a clear sign that fewer people have reached the brink of economic despair.However, businesses are still struggling, with 12 businesses filing for bankruptcy in May.
