Tough times ahead for many NH families
As 2025 comes to an end, many Granite Staters are feeling the same things. Groceries cost more. Housing costs and property taxes are up. Health care is harder to afford and access.
The Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire, in partnership with the New England Coalition for Affordable Energy, New England Ratepayers Association and NH Municipal Association, will present the NH Energy Symposium, a full-day conference devoted to energy matters in the state, on Thursday, Dec. 6, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Downtown Hotel.
Preliminary agenda topics include the following:
• Understanding New Hampshire's electric rates
• Maintaining power system reliability
• The NH Site Evaluation Committee process: What‘s working? What needs improving?
• Energy infrastructure in New Hampshire
• Business impacts from taxing carbon
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cost to attend is $125 for BIA members, BIA Capitol Connect members and all partner members; and $150 for others. For more information to register, visit BIAofNH.com/events or call 603-224-5388, ext. 101.
