WellPoint has begun offering its online health assessment tools in Spanish.
The Indianapolis, Ind.-based insurer said the free health assessment helps Spanish-speaking members to identify and understand their personal risk factors.
After completing the online questionnaire, members will receive a personalized report that allows them to compare their overall health status with the national average and with their others with similar risk factors.
“We feel that this health assessment represents a way to empower our members who do not speak English as a first language with tools to improve their lifestyles,” said Chris Dugan, director of communications and community relations for WellPoint subsidiary Anthem in New Hampshire.
The Hispanic population is one of the fastest-growing demographic segments in New Hampshire.
“This tool will give those who speak Spanish an idea of what corrections to make to live a healthier life down the road,” said Dugan — CINDY KIBBE
