Alene Candles brings LEADS leadership development program fully in-house

Alene Candles, a full-service contract manufacturer of custom-designed fragranced candles and home fragrance products, is moving its Alene LEADS leadership development program fully in-house, as the company continues to invest in employee growth and workplace culture.

What began as an externally facilitated leadership initiative has grown into a fully internal, employee-led program at Alene Candles, a shift the company says reflects both the impact of the program and its long-term commitment to making leadership development an ongoing part of company culture. Today, a dedicated group of LEADS Ambassadors helps guide employees through sessions year-round, embedding the program into day-to-day operations and employee development efforts.

Alene LEADS is built on a simple belief: Leadership is not reserved for titles; it is for everyone, in every role, every day.

“As Alene Candles continues to grow, so does our commitment to the people behind our success,” said Alene Candles President and CEO Raj Chary. “We want our team to feel empowered not only in their professional development, but in real-life situations and personal growth as well. Bringing LEADS fully inhouse allows us to continue evolving the program in a way that is authentic to our culture and responsive to the needs of our teams.”

Throughout the year, employees participate in training sessions designed to help them create new habits, try new approaches and take new actions in both their personal and professional lives. The program is guided by six core leadership principles centered on accountability, communication, curiosity, collaboration and empowerment.

The company says its core mission remains unchanged: investing in people and creating an environment where employees feel seen, heard, encouraged and empowered to grow together.

“This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being committed – to each other, to this work and to who we choose to be and who we commit to become together. That’s The Alene Way,” said Mike Mokros, training and development manager at Alene Candles.
