More low-income residents and people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Greater Manchester will continue to have access to essential dental, medical and behavioral health care through two programs supported by Catholic Medical Center (CMC).
CMC has provided $300,000 to the Catholic Community Health Alliance of Greater Manchester to support the Poisson Dental Facility and Health Care for the Homeless Program. The investment is the second installment of CMC’s $2 million, three-year commitment to the programs, bringing its total support to date to $600,000.
The Poisson Dental Facility at Catholic Medical Center provides preventive and restorative oral health care to low-income children and adults who may otherwise have limited access to dental services. By identifying and treating oral health issues early, the program helps patients avoid more serious conditions and the need for urgent or complex dental procedures.
The Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) Program provides accessible medical care, behavioral health support and social services to individuals and families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, helping remove barriers that can prevent them from receiving essential care.
“The Poisson Dental Facility and Health Care for the Homeless Program are lifelines for some of Manchester’s most vulnerable residents,” said John Skevington, chief executive officer of Catholic Medical Center. “These programs reflect our commitment to ensuring that everyone, regardless of income or housing status, has access to compassionate, high-quality care and the dignity that comes with it.”
“We are grateful to Catholic Medical Center for its second installment of its commitment to the Poisson Dental Facility and Health Care for the Homeless Program,” said Dominique Rust, executive director of the Catholic Health Alliance of Greater Manchester, which oversees the two programs. “This helps ensure that some of Manchester’s most vulnerable neighbors continue to receive the compassionate, high-quality care they need and deserve.”
The funding is part of Catholic Medical Center and HCA Healthcare’s broader investment in improving health and well-being across Greater Manchester. Since CMC joined HCA Healthcare in 2025, more than $1.5 million has been invested through community partnerships addressing priorities including youth mental health, family support, food security, veteran homelessness, maternal mental health and community wellness.
