Nancy and John Wilbur, owners of Wilbur Technical Services LLC of Mont Vernon, have been selected as SBA’s New Hampshire Small Business Persons of the Year.
They top a list of 13 winners of New Hampshire SBA awards, which recognize the resilience, ingenuity and creativity of small business owners as part of the agency’s annual National Small Business Week celebration. This year, Small Business Week will be recognized from April 30 to May 6, with events around the country and in Washington, D.C.
The Wilburs, who will compete with the top small businesspeople from around the country for the honor of National Small Business Person of the Year, began Wilbur Technical Services as a home-based business in 2004. They provide air quality monitoring services throughout New England and have grown the company from two employees and under $50,000 in revenue to a team of 14 with almost $5 million in sales, supporting customers around the world.
