Home prices in the Manchester-Nashua area increased in May by 4.8 percent over May 2014, according to property information firm CoreLogic.
The increase includes distressed sales, the firm said. Excluding distressed sales, year-over-year prices increased by 5.9 percent in May. On a month-over-month basis, prices, including distressed sales, increased by 1.6 percent in May compared with April. Excluding distressed sales, the firm reported that home prices increased by 1.1 percent, month-over-month.
Nationally, CoreLogic reported that home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 6.3 percent in May 2015 compared with May 2014 – the 39th consecutive monthly year-over-year increase. On a month-over-month basis, nationwide home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 1.7 percent in May 2015 compared with April 2015.
CoreLogic forecasts that home prices, including distressed sales, are projected to increase by 0.9 percent month over month from May 2015 to June 2015 and by 5.1 percent on a year-over-year basis from May 2015 to May 2016.
