A fully wired NH expected by 2026
Despite a shift in policy, New Hampshire officials expect 100% of the households and businesses in the state will have access to broadband internet by 2026.
Four New Hampshire manufacturers were awarded state job training grants in July totaling almost $15,000.
Each of the companies contributed matching funds, bringing the total funds for worker training in July to $29,171. The funds will support the training of 47 workers in new skills.
The companies are:
"We must continue to focus on job training and higher education to support innovative businesses and help ensure that our workforce is as highly skilled as possible,” said Gov. Maggie Hassan.
Since October 2007, the state Job Training Fund has awarded more than $6 million in grants to New Hampshire companies. Employers have contributed $8.7 million, for a total of $14.9 million in new training for more than 18,000 New Hampshire workers.
