September bankruptcy filings dropped nearly 20 percent in New Hampshire from a year ago, continuing the 2012 downward trend.
All told, there were 302 filings in September, six more than in August, when the number of filings dipped below 300 for the first time since 1998.Year to date, there have been 3,093 filings, about 16 percent below the year-to-date total in 2011.Four New Hampshire businesses filed for bankruptcy in September, and only one was a Chapter 7 liquidation filing.
They were:
• DPB Food Group LLC, (aka Realm Restaurant and Lounge), Londonderry, filed Sept. 6, Chapter 11. Assets: $6,744. Liabilities: $40,542.
• Derry & Webster LLC, Nashua (owned by Vatche Manoukian, a prominent Nashua landlord and developer), filed Sept. 25, Chapter 11. Assets: $$500,000 to $1 million. Liabilities: $1 to $10 million.
• 33 Orange Street LLC, Nashua (also owned by Vatche Manoukian). filed Sept. 25, Chapter 11,. Assets and liabilities: $100,000 to $500,000.
• Access EMS LLC, Hudson, filed Sept. 27, Chapter 7. Assets: $0. Liabilities: $460,429.
