The number of New Hampshire bankruptcy filings settled down a bit in November after October’s upsurge.
All told, there were 14 business-related filings, 11 of which were filed as individuals with business-related debts. In October, there were 23 business related-filings, the highest number this year.
Altogether, there were 227 bankruptcy filings in November, 19 percent fewer than in October and 16 percent lower than November 2012. It’s the second-lowest total in 2013, and the lowest November number since 2006, the first year after bankruptcy laws were toughened.
