Woman injured in accident dies

MILFORD – A Lyndeborough woman died Friday afternoon after her sport utility vehicle crossed a center line and struck another vehicle, police said.

Patricia Levesque, 49, was pronounced dead after being brought to Milford Medical Center after the crash, according to a police press statement. The driver of the other SUV, Linda Busse, 65, of Brookline, was treated at the center with non-life-threatening injuries. Levesque was in a 1991 GMC Jimmy traveling east on Elm Street, just east of Westchester Drive, at about 12:30 p.m., police said. The initial police investigation indicated Levesque crossed the center dividing line, striking head-on a 1998 Ford Explorer driven by Busse, police said.

There were no passengers in either vehicle. Milford fire, police and ambulance services responded to the scene, police said. Elm Street was closed for about three hours as the police department’s technical accident reconstruction team worked the scene. The crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information is being asked to call Police Sgt. Kevin Furlong at 673-7742.
