Weekend thefts from cars investigated

Police are investigating a series of thefts from cars that happened at a condominium complex this weekend.

Officers received four calls Monday from residents of the Birches Condominium complex on Summit Road, who reported that car stereos and components, purses, CDs, radar detectors, MP3 players, sunglasses and loose change had been taken from their unlocked vehicles between Sunday at 6 p.m. and early Monday morning, according to a press statement.

Detectives are looking for public assistance in their investigation. People with information are asked to call the department at 424-3774, or to the Merrimack Crimeline at 424-2424, where information can be supplied anonymously. Rewards are available to callers whose details lead to an arrest and successful prosecution.
Police are also reminding residents to lock their cars and not leave valuable items inside.
