Water lines to be flushed

The Merrimack Village District will flush main water lines and hydrants in the following areas from Aug. 25 to Aug. 29 from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.:

Amherst, Bates, Charles, Cowin, Cummings, Dahl, Fields Farm, Four Winds, Hawthorne, Kyle, Naticook, Old Kings, and Peaslee roads;

Brek, Elizabeth, Everest, Regal, and Spaulding drives; Rainnier and Rushmore courts; Majestic and Maryann lanes; Savannah and Queens ways; Dena Avenue; Springfield Circle; Erik Street; and Haines Terrace.

Flushing occurs to dislodge naturally occurring sediment from within pipe walls.

It may result in temporary water discoloration, low water pressure and minor street flooding.
