Two bus trips for parks and recreation
The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department is hosting two bus trips this fall.
The first is a fall foliage motor coach tour of the Vermont green mountains Sept. 29.
The coach will depart from Wasserman Park at 8 a.m. and travel to Waterbury, Vt. There will be a photo stop at the Quechee Gorge, followed by lunch at Arvad’s Grill and Pub and then a 30-minute tour of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream factory. The bus will leave the factory at 3 p.m., arriving in Merrimack by 6.
The cost is $39.95 per person, which includes transportation, lunch and gratuity, factory tour, and driver gratuity. The second trip will be to Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard, Conn., on Nov. 5.
A bus will leave Wasserman Park at 7 a.m. Once it arrives at the casino, people can choose from 380 games, including Bingo, Black Jack, Craps, poker and Keno. There are also places to eat and shop.
The bus will depart the casino at 4:15 p.m. and be back in Merrimack at 7:30.
The cost is $24.95 per person, which includes transportation, driver gratuity and a “bonus package,” which is a $10 food voucher and a $15 Keno voucher.
