Tract off Route 13 draws cruisers, ambulances
Officials aren’t commenting on why ambulances and police cruisers spent part of Tuesday around a parking lot for trails leading into conservation land off Route 13.
According to passers-by, two ambulances and three police cruisers were parked at the location on Route 13 on Tuesday, south of Ladd’s convenience store, near the Brookline-Milford line.
Several residents, who requested anonymity, said they heard that the incident began because a red car had been parked in the lot near the trailhead for two days, prompting a call to police from a resident concerned that a hiker was lost on the trails.
Police said no information will be released until Police Chief Thomas Goulden returns from vacation Monday. Officials from the state police, fire department and New Hampshire Fish and Game either declined to comment or did not return calls Wednesday.
