Time to flush again
It’s that time of year again when the Merrimack Village District will be flushing main water lines and hydrant.
Flushing starts next Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the following areas:
Baboosic Lake, Bedford, Currier, Indian Rock, Joppa, Mayflower, Powderhouse and Turkey Hill roads; Beacon, Chelsea, Eagle, Ellie, Falcon, Jessica, Souhegan, Sundale and Victoria drives; Birch, Fir and Freedom streets; Edgewood, Minuteman and Pilgrim avenues; Independence and Tanglewood ways; Hillside Terrace; Robin Lane; Woodbury condominiums; and Woodland Park.
Flushing is done to dislodge naturally occurring sediment from within pipe walls. It may cause temporary street flooding, discolored water and low water pressure.
People with questions can call 424-9241, ext. 100.
Around the Towns was compiled by staff writers Dean Shalhoup and Karen Lovett.
