Teen accused in theft of visiting team iPods
A 16-year-old student is accused of stealing three iPods from the visiting team’s lockers during a basketball game between Nashua North and Salem High School, police said Thursday.
Detectives from the Youth Services Division investigated along with school resource officers and identified the suspect by reviewing security camera footage, Detective Lt. Jeff Bukunt said.
The teen is accused of taking the iPods, valued between $150 to $250, from unlocked lockers during the Dec. 23 game at Nashua North High School, Bukunt said.
Police recovered two of the three iPods, after the boy was arrested Wednesday morning, Bukunt said.
Police are still trying to track down the third, which the boy allegedly sold to another student for $100, and then stole it back and sold it again to another student, Bukunt said.
The boy was released to a family member after his arrest, pending hearings in the juvenile division of Nashua District Court.
