Students organize Tee Off for Troops

AMHERST – Souhegan High School seniors Ashley Hill and Joel Gerson have organized a golf tournament Tee-Off for Troops on April 30 at the Amherst Country Club to benefit Homes for Troops, a charity that raises funds for servicemen and women who have become physically disabled and cannot function in their current homes. The charity builds new homes or modifies currents homes for the veterans.

The cost is $100 per person and includes donation, green fees, car and food. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start and is a four-person scramble format. There will be prizes for first- through third-place teams, long drives and closest to the pin. A hole-in-one wins a new car. There will be a 5-0/50 raffle and prizes.
