Sip wines and brews at fall festival

LITCHFIELD – Wicked Wine and Brew Fest, a unique tasting event featuring New Hampshire and New England wineries and breweries, will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, from 2-7 p.m. at Mel’s Funway Park in Litchfield. This is a rain or shine event and will be held outdoors under tents.

Sponsored by Mel’s Funway Park,, The Telegraph, Holloway Motorcars, Maynard and Lesieur, Oreck and Tee Shirt Bodega, this event will benefit Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County.

Sample brews from Martha’s Exchange Brewery, Magic Hat, Long Trail Brewing Co., Tuckerman Brewing Co., Rapscallion Brewery, Shipyard Brewing Co., Smuttynose Brewing Co. and Woodstock Inn Station and Brewery and sip wine and cider from Candia Vineyards, Farnum Hill Ciders, Piscassic Pond Winery and Zorvino Vineyards, plus more to be announced.

There will also be artisans and vendors to visit, including Kettle to Keg, Miche Bag, Pampered Chef, Karen Files beaded jewelry, Teresa Harris Designs handcrafted jewelry, Cozy Tea Cart, Life’s Little Pleasures, Home Depot, Sam’s Club of Hudson and Longaberger Baskets. Also attending will be Charlene Langtry, who offers free wine tasting parties, and Medium Clairvoyant Debbie Raymond Pinet of Epiphany Productions.

Wicked Wine and Brew Fest tickets for sampling adults 21 and older can be purchased in advance at www.wickedwine or at The Telegraph’s offices at 17 Executive Drive in Hudson for $20. Tickets may also be purchased at the event. For a limited time, purchase tickets in advance online and enter code WWB09 at checkout and receive $5 off each sampling ticket.

Tickets for designated drivers and ages 20 and younger can be purchased for $5 the day of the event. Children 5 and younger will be admitted for free.

The ticket price for sampling adults includes admission to Wicked Wine and Brew Fest, unlimited sampling of beer and wine and access to event vendors and musical entertainment. The first 1,000 sampling tickets will receive a commemorative glass perfect for wine and beer samples.
