School board fights for budget increase
Voters met Wednesday night to decide between competing budgets for the Hollis/Brookline Cooperative School District.
The meeting did not wind up in time for today’s Telegraph. Results will be in tomorrow’s paper.
The school district’s Budget Committee is asking for a zero-increase budget for the fiscal year that begins on July 1, but the School Board asked for $108,279 more, an increase of six-tenths of a percent increase over the current budget of $18,875,795.
