Rock and roll puts fourth-graders to test

Fourth-graders Ricky Thai, left, Yasmela Castillo, center, and Alexis Ratty experiment with boards and rocks Friday, as they prepare for NECAP science testing at the Ledge Street School in Nashua. Not shown from their group is Marisol Mendoxa. The students were given the tasks of moving rocks using levers, similar to how the Colonial New Hampshire settlers moved boulders to clear farm fields.
