Road closed after tanker truck crash

Route 31, also known as Fitchburg Road, was closed Wednesday morning due to an accident involving a tanker truck hauling liquid gas, a Hillsborough County dispatcher said. Some 75 gallons of liquid gas were believed to have spilled from the truck in the area of the Country Mile store at about 5:30 a.m., the dispatcher said. No injuries were reported, but the road remained closed while firefighters and police contain the scene.
